The current ZOOM meters come standard with a small state-of-the-art UNIVERSAL adapter fully reliable to allow use of ST, SC, FC or any 2.5 mm patch cables as test cable which saves money on consumables (test cables wear out). Sorry physics and optics do not allow the same universal connector to work well on any brand of the light source. Hence, light sources must have ST, SC, or FC connector ports.

WaveTester kits offer the fiber optic professional some of the best values in the industry.  Whether performing standards-compliant testing, or just simple optical loss tests, there is a WaveTester kit configuration to meet nearly every need.

WaveTester kits include a WaveTester optical power meter, your choice of light source combinations, a hard-shell carrying case, protective rubber boots, lanyard straps, and OWL Reporter software and operations guide on CD.

There are two versions of WaveTester kits.  Our ALL NEW  WaveSeries Auto-Test fiber optic test kits offer conveniences not found in many test kits in its class, including automatic wavelength switching and automatic data point storage, both of which save valuable testing time.   Single-port dual-wavelength sources eliminate the need for separate reference cables, and also allow some versions to have an optional VFL installed.  Need all four wavelengths?  Our quad-wavelength test kit gives you 850, 1300, 1310, and 1550nm all in one source.

WaveTester fiber optic test kits can also include our Dual OWL and Laser OWL line of light sources, which are offered as separate multimode (Dual OWL) and single-mode (Laser OWL) units.  These manually operated sources offer an alternative for users who do not require the extra convenience of auto-testing.

The Fiber OWL 2 line of power meters has been replaced by the Fiber OWL 4.  Enhancements include a more user friendly interface and auto-wavelength recognition which allows for dual-wavelength reference and data storage.

Fiber OWL test kits are ideal for the fiber optic professional who requires standards-based certification of fiber links, including TIA-568, ISO 11801, various Ethernet standards, among others.  The Fiber OWL can also be configured with custom standards to meet the needs of various fiber optic applications.

Each Fiber OWL test kit comes with a N.I.S.T. Traceable Fiber OWL optical power meter one or more complementary fiber optic light sources, based upon your application.  Many configurations are available.  Included with each test kit are a hard-shell carrying case, protective rubber boots, carrying straps, 9-volt batteries, certificate of NIST-traceability, and a CD-ROM with free OWL Reporter software and operation manual.

Fiber OWL BOLT Series Auto-Wavelength Test Kits offer the ultimate in user-friendliness.  Not only does the Fiber OWL 4 BOLT perform optical link length tests, but when used together with the WaveSource fiber optic light source in automatic mode, the meter and light source use auto-wavelength switching technology that coordinates wavelengths automatically, without the need for further user intervention.  This feature increases productivity by decreasing testing time and human error.  The WaveSource line of light sources also includes the least-expensive quad-wavelength fiber optic light source on the market, integrating all four popular wavelengths into one unit (850/1300nm for multimode and 1310/1550nm for singlemode).

Fiber OWL Series Auto-Wavelength Test Kits offer the same auto-testing capability of the Fiber OWL BOLT series, but without length testing capability.

Fiber OWL Series Basic Test Kits contain our standard light sources options: Dual OWL for multimode and/or Laser OWL for singlemode.
